…there was a wise God. The wise God was very wise, popular and beloved.

God’s serving staff, as it such happens associated themselves closely to the wise God.

But they were not wise.

Out of spite and ignorance, they decided that women-folk were not allowed to visit the wise God. They started to turn them away from the wise God’s house.

The Goddess of Women, insulted by the small-mindedness of the Wise God’s staff, decided to take all the women-folk away to a far-far-away land.

The Wise God, forlorn at what his staff had done did not choose to say anything to them. He simply waited for time to teach them a lesson.

The Staff mistook their wise Lord’s silence to be consent and cheered for their own victory.

Soon, there was no one to pray to the wise God, as no one was left in their land to pray. And the Staff had no one to say no to and no power by association.

Wise God’s silence made them realize that the Staff should have followed their dharma and not acted in spite, on behalf of the wise God. Staff did not follow their dharma and deprived the world, of life and caused misery and pain.

The staff recognized and accepted their mistake, apologized to the Goddess of Women and requested the Goddess to bring life back into their world.

The Wise God smiled, for Shakti(power) had finally returned where it belonged- in the hearts of the devotees.
